16 Etudes for Snare is a book similar to Cirone’s Portraits in Rhythm, which contains pieces for Snare drum based off rhythmic motives of percussion parts from various orchestral music. My book basically incorporates the same idea, except it does so with the motives from some of the standard concert band literature.
